The PRISE Policy Dialogue Forum held in September 2009 in Fort Worth, TX provided the venue for sharing four preliminary research documents with approximately 60 stakeholders in high school science education. Stakeholders from schools included administrators, high school science principals and high school science teachers. Professional development providers included representatives from Regional Education Service Centers and externally funded professional development projects. University representatives included administrators and science educators involved in preservice science teacher preparation and inservice projects. The Forum encouraged dialogue among mixed groups of stakeholders about the recruitment, induction, professional development, and retention of high school science teachers in Texas.
